Meet the Team

George founded Surrey Gas in 2018 with a clear vision: to offer homeowners a heating service they could genuinely rely on. Having been in the industry since leaving school, he brings years of hands-on experience as a Gas Safe registered engineer and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.

While George still leads from the front on installations and supports the engineering team, he’s also invested a great deal of time behind the scenes—streamlining office systems, improving communication, and making the entire customer journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Under his leadership, Surrey Gas has grown steadily, earning over 200 5-star reviews and a strong reputation across Surrey for reliability, honesty, and high standards of workmanship.

George is proud to run a company that puts people first—where every job is done with care, every quote is clear, and every customer is treated with respect. He’s also a proud dog owner, and his two dogs aren’t just part of the family—they feature on the Surrey Gas vans and are affectionately known as the real bosses of the business!

Outside of work, George enjoys spending time with his family, taking the dogs out for long walks, and getting out for a day of shooting when time allows. He also has a surprisingly passionate side-hustle: competitive yodeling. While he insists it started as a joke, he’s now banned from several hills in the Surrey countryside due to noise complaints — much to the amusement of the team.

Lauren keeps the wheels turning at Surrey Gas, running the office and making sure everything behind the scenes is smooth, organised, and running like clockwork.

From booking appointments and scheduling the engineers to handling phone calls and customer queries, she’s the friendly voice at the other end of the line — and often the first point of contact for our customers.

She first began helping out when Surrey Gas was founded in 2018 and officially joined the team full time in 2024. Since then, Lauren has become a familiar name to many of our regular customers and takes real pride in making every interaction personal, professional, and stress-free.

She’s a key part of what makes Surrey Gas tick — keeping the team on track, the jobs on time, and the service consistent from start to finish.

Outside of work, Lauren runs her own aesthetic clinic and shares the office with her two French Bulldogs, Derek and Remi, who are affectionately known as the real bosses of the business. She’s also a self-proclaimed llama whisperer — a skill that may not come in handy at the office, but definitely keeps things interesting.

Paul joined the Surrey Gas team in 2023 as part of our expansion, bringing with him a strong work ethic, a calm and friendly approach, and a real passion for doing the job right.

With years of hands-on experience in the heating and plumbing industry, Paul quickly became a valued member of the team. Whether he’s installing a new boiler or helping diagnose a tricky issue, customers often comment on his attention to detail and clear, honest communication.

He shares our belief that great service is about more than just turning up on time — it’s about treating every home with respect, keeping customers informed, and taking pride in the little things that make a big difference.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also has a slightly unusual hobby: building miniature catapults. What started as a lockdown project has now become a full-blown obsession — he’s even been known to launch marshmallows across the office during tea breaks (with mixed success).

Mike joined the Surrey Gas team in 2025, bringing with him a strong technical background and a can-do attitude that fits right in with our values. From day one, he’s impressed both colleagues and customers with his tidy workmanship, clear communication, and attention to detail.

He’s passionate about getting things right the first time and takes real pride in making sure every job — big or small — is completed to a high standard. Whether he’s carrying out a boiler replacement or investigating a fault, Mike brings professionalism and a calm, focused approach.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys competitive cheese rolling — a slightly chaotic pastime that involves chasing a wheel of cheese down a steep hill. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but he insists it keeps him quick on his feet (just in case a boiler starts rolling away).

Jack joined the Surrey Gas team in 2024 as demand for our services continued to grow. With a solid background in heating and plumbing, he quickly settled in and has become a reliable and hardworking part of the team.

Jack is known for his friendly nature, thorough workmanship, and the care he takes with every job — whether it’s a full boiler installation or a quick repair. He shares our commitment to quality and always aims to leave customers feeling confident and well looked after.

Jack joined the Surrey Gas team in 2024 as demand for our services continued to grow. With a solid background in heating and plumbing, he quickly became a key member of the team thanks to his reliable nature, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

He’s known for his friendly approach and the care he puts into every job, whether it’s a full boiler installation or a simple repair. Jack shares our commitment to doing things properly and making sure every customer feels looked after.

Outside of work, Jack is a proud dad of two and enjoys travelling when his schedule allows. He also has a slightly unusual hobby — competitive duck herding. While it’s not the most common pastime, he swears it’s great for stress relief and claims the ducks are surprisingly cooperative (most of the time).

Meet Derek and Remi, our beloved French Bulldogs and the unofficial (but very much in charge) mascots of Surrey Gas.

You might have already spotted their faces proudly displayed on our vans—and for good reason! These two aren’t just part of the family, they’re part of the brand.

When they’re not snoozing in the office or keeping an eye on the team, Derek and Remi love long walks, belly rubs, and the occasional treat for a job well done. Their calm, friendly presence reminds us every day to keep things grounded, approachable, and human—exactly how we like to run our business.

At Surrey Gas, we take our work seriously—but we know it’s the little things (like two Frenchies who think they run the show) that make us different.

Fun fact: Derek and Remi also moonlight as “meeting security,” making sure no biscuit goes unmonitored and no engineer leaves without a sniff-based background check.
